Why does a man who rejected me still look at my social media stories?

I admitted a man whom I’ve known for years that I have feelings for him. He basically rejected me and told me he doesn’t want to do long distance. I told him I had to cut off all contact with him because mentally I didn’t feel I could stay texting him and not feel bad about him not wanting to be with me. However, I notice he always looks at my stories, a lot of times within minutes of posting. Does this mean anything? or just curiosity?

Having a phone and checking social media is like second nature for so many. I’d like to say that what he’s doing means something, but viewing all your stories is too generic of a thing. You two didn't argue, end on bad terms, or have any malicious feeling towards one another. It wasn’t even him who did the cutting off, so there’s really no hard feelings on his end or reason not to watch your stories. Making this more than it could be in your mind will only make it harder for you to move on.
