Well since you refuse to ask him- which is the easiest solution instead of making assumptions...

He probably treats you differently for one of two reasons-

He either likes you and knows not giving you a nickname will annoy you- that's his way of "flirting" with you.

Or he isn't interested in you. Or thinks you're more serious than the other girls, hence why he's proper when speaking to you.

Tbh this reminds me of that one episode of Phineas and Ferb where Candace's boyfriend gives everyone else a nickname except her cause he likes her.
So in your case it's either that, or he's not as close with you. I doubt it's the second option since it would be strange that only person is exempted from nicknames.

I hear you on that! People are just strange sometimes. One of my biggest mistakes earlier in life was assuming that people have reasons for doing things they do. They usually don't have any reasons at all, especially in a situation like the one you find yourself in. He most likely hasn't given you a nickname/petname because he simply hasn't gotten around to it yet.
