I used to have a Girls ask Guys account in high school when I was just a confused little teen asking about my crushes. I felt like at the time it was mostly other confused teens and young adults trying to figure out what feeelings were. but that was an old account thar I have abandoned and forgotten how to login

I created this burner account to ask about my current social and some past mistakes but I feel like this site is a lot more toxic then it was 4-6 years ago. that's not to say it was great then. There were people asking for nudes or spilling there messy abusive relationships. but now this site seem more politized and angry. There are constant post on how feminism ruined everything or how every girl is a moody lying slut. there are very thinly veiled post about gender roles and society that try to pretend they're just about dating advice.

I know this kinda content isn't just on G@G, I always seen this on Youtube, Reddit and any densely male populated site. I also noticed that most of the replies to questions are more male. even on very popular questions. this entire place feels like I'm on r/redpill or r/askreddit or r/amI theasshole

I just feel like men have gotten angrier in general but I can especially see it on this site. I am wondering if it's the kinda of content I've been engaging with or if this is what everybody sees.

I do not think it's an incel site, and for the most part you can ignore those people. As far as men raging... yeah, I agree with you on that, but it's not a G@G problem it's pretty much across society these days.

Men in general seriously and honestly feel that their voice within society has been silences when come to sex and gender... especially if you're a straight, white man. Stright white guys really do not have a voice... because straight white guys, are depicted across society today as sexist and racist homophobes.

There is no Straight White, Guy advocacy group pushing men's right issues, or raising awareness about the challenges that white males face in today's society. Because white, straight men are the privileged class. And honestly that is more racist, sexist bullshit I have ever heard.

So yeah, we white straight guys are pretty feed up and angry... so you nailed it. But on this platform, there are a lot of 30 to 40 somethings that have lived through it from their entire lives and are sick of it. A lot of young guys are just pissed off and do not really understand why... that's probably why they are wearing makeup and running around in dresses and looking up to K-Pop as examples of what a real man should be. And probably way a lot fo these guys are going active shoot in schools... and nobody cares about the poor straight white guy.

But since they have been emasculated by society their whole lives, raised in homes by single mothers, they have no clue what a real man is or how he is supposed to act like a real man. But society made them this way... so don't blame them.

The idea that straight white males (the unmitigated rulers of the world) are the victims of.. anything, really, is exactly the the narrative whispered into their ear to make them incels - telling them everyone thinks they are intitles to it all but they dont have throngs of slutty women chasing after them like someone else surely does. Yes yes, I'm aware not all straight white men rule the world. I understand that expectation that they do can be viewed as unfair to those who have nothing to do with it. The thing is absolutely every category of person is treated objectively worse, on average. That is the sole reason no one considers straight white men to be in need of sympathy. If you want to change that then consider directing your resentment at the straight white men ho do get treated abnormally well thus artificially raising the average.

Right wing leaders (straight white rich men) have been chewing at the problem of how to turn common young male sexual frustrations into votes for tax cuts for the rich for decades. The "red pill" rhetoric seems to be one of the many things they came up with.

It's not really an issue of belief. The fact is the overwhelming majority of world leaders are straight white men. Sadly, there was a typo. "Intitles" was supposed to be "entitled." I'm well aware that everyone telling straight white men who have very little power that they don't deserve sympathy because straight white men rule the world sounds unfair. The point of that is, whatever challenges we face, they aren't because we are straight white men. But you are correct, I can't say you are wrong by any means, but use run of the mill straight white guys, face all the same types of challenges that everyone does, and we struggle to get by, and work just as hard as everyone else. I think people say it is "forgotten," but that's incomplete, really. Rather, my suspicion is straight white guys get ignored just like the overwhelming majority of everyone else does, but only straight white guys are told that they're supposed to be ruling the world, so they are the only ones with the perception that they should be getting all the attention and thus are the only ones who feel put upon for not getting it. But that's just a guess.

The only difference is that us white guys are not given any leeway or benefit of the doubt, when comes to making up excuses or blaming anyone else for our own failures. Therefore, we get put out over all these special interests rising awareness, for things that really do nothing for us, because it's all about them.

If you're talking about media conversations, maybe, but that isn't really worth anything beyond feelings. And while Maslow's hierarchy of needs certianly doesn't omit the need for people to feel good about themselves, the fact is that physical needs come must take priority. And if we're talking about physical consequences then we're talking about things like prison, and white men get substantially less sentencing than people of color who commit the same crime. You could argue men in general get more time than women but that has nothing to do with race.

But even that only has to do with poor people committing crimes. When rich people commit crimes, they tend to skate. It's so rare for them to get punished that it makes national headlines when it hapoens, despite the fact that nearly everyone knows that rich people write the laws around their desired actions, thus are only operating legally on a technicality. And while the rich population is dominated by straight white men, it is critical to understand that it would be exactly the same if any other race or gender dominated the upper class. It simply doesn't matter. So letting them tell us we are victims just so we extend that victimhood to them, thus justifying giving the rich more money, is a classic trick at least as old as the first great depression - it is in fact a critical pillar in the house of cards that caused it.

The entire internet is overrun by incels. Indeed, one could probably make the case that more time on the internet has left lots of people with less developed interpersonal skills. And as men are more susceptible to a life without interacting with others, this combination creates incels.

It is much like like the obesity epidemic. We didn't really have overweight people until the invention of high fructose corn syrup. It was cheap to make. They started putting it in things. People loved it. So they put more in more things. People kept loving every bite. And people got fat. And then the fat people started blaming everyone else for not finding them attractive despite being fat, never once blaming their own inability to deny themselves the pleasure of the next bite. that is an interesting parallel, I guess the food industry and social media have a lot in common. the companies don't care about the damage they're doing as long as they make the money. social media isn't going to change their algorithm because it's already working. it also makes me think about the fitness trend in the 90's trying to get people to lose weight and eat better. the same thing is happening with the "dopamine detox" trend. but just like with addicting food, most people will likely have trouble turning there screens of.

I think in generla internet changed, before people did not use it this way to vent off they did not have an other internet persona the way they did with the now prevalence of social media, in the past internet was mostly made of of people with similar interests or minds found similar platforms to communicate, now a lot more of people are using it actively, that is posting comments venting off etc, also all age ranges are now using it in a similiar way, it just becomes more and more like an anonymous digitalized version of what you hear in a bar

An inherent element of any site that's a forum for discussions about sexual relationships is that since guys who are in an intimate sexual relationship are greatly outnumbered by guys who are sexually frustrated, there will always be a lot of discussions, posts and comments from sexually frustrated guys, or incels, as we're now referred to as.

This doesn't necessarily have to be a negative thing. People just need to keep in mind that these frustrated guys are only trying to communicate with the more successful men and women who are having these discussions every day.

Conversely, we, as incels should make a greater effort to be more courteous and respectful to others, particularly the women on here, and if we do that, I think everyone will enjoy this site even more. Finally, I think it's important to remember that not all incels are bitter, miserable men; many of us enjoy our constant frustration and have evolved to the point at which we're actually happier with our status in society than we were before we acknowledged it.
