Why do men add random women on social media while on vacation?

I ended our friendship/situationship because I was very in love and couldn’t handle it and I wanted more. It was never physical except playing around flirting. He seemed to care for me too but it never became anything.

we stayed friends on social media and he just went on vacation and added two new women in the same town he’s in. I’m trying to not love him but this hurt badly.

He hasn’t even been there for 24 hours yet so why would a guy add strangers in another country? Has anyone else done this? Just get random women’s social media profiles and add them? Why?

I also noticed he went from posting 1-2x a week at most to posting 2-3x a day, everyday. It’s been like that for more than a month. He always seems happy while I’m crying all the time. :(
