Does my guy friend mean anything by these things he says?

Ok so I have had a coworker turned guy friend for over a decade. When we worked together we always chatted, when we moved to different departments we kept in contact through emails text etc. Im thee only one he has a nickname for and would hug when we see each other. We are pretty close I would say. I have since left the company and he texts more often and past normal text times…. ok ok to get to the meat of it all he knows about my life and some of my family issues w/ my brother and he has said once “I feel like I know him, like he is long lost family”

And then another time he mentioned that my brother is coming to work at his department and he mentioned to me that it will be like a family reunion.

He tends to talk cryptically at times. Is he saying he sees me as a sister?

Wow, that's interesting that yo are the only one with nickname... what is it? YOu must have a kind and fun way about you. Your guy friend, who is obviously trying to bond emotionally and receive you approval, has something going on.

Anyone who takes time to bond with your brother and possibly Dad one day, has bigger ideas than "sister/friend". I wish he just ask you out... This is the real struggle for him. He is seeking everyone's approval after bonding with you at different levels.

This guy is almost more girl like than typical guy...

Yes, I would say so unless he is dating your brother on the side without you knowing this and he cool with you just because your brother.
