It could be because
a) she yeld at him like a bitch as if its his fault
b) because he wanted it to lead up to something more only to discover that it was a complete waste of time because its obviously not going anywhere
c) he could be greaving from the idea of the loss of her but for it to not matter because she doesn't take things seriously between them
d) he could be considering that he should be pursuing things else where
e) he could be considering that she is lying to him to make him not want to be with her
f) he could be considering that she's just being leading him on with the notion of friends with benefits to use him for her enjoyment during her final time before she is on the way out, without having considered that they could have spent the time together doing other things with what left she has of her life but obviously feeling unwanted by only being the friend with benefits, without the consideration that he could be a partner or even could have been
g) he could be ashamed that he had just been using her for sex without considering that there might have been more to her story like a life ending illness
h) he could probably not want to take on the responsibility of commiting to her for her life ending illness because of only wanting to be friends with benefits
i) he could be hurt that she didn't tell him upfront & feel like she has been lying to him this whole time
j) he could be considering that he doesn't want to take on the responsibility of dealing with her death
k) he could be considering that there is not enough time for her to love him & being in guilt of not being in a serious relationship with her
l) he could be considering that she shouldn't want to be spending her last moments with him because he doesn't love her and is the reason why they where only friends with benefits
m) he might not want to take responsibility for it just like being irresponsible with only being friends with benefits
n) it might have brought up memories of things that he resents about her & be a good excuse for him to walk away.
Since you're not her, you can't define the perameters.
Because cancer is anything but sexy.
The truth is that if you make it just about sex, then you in turn degrade yourself to just sex. It's no stretch of the imagination that this is true.
Be there for your friend best you can. Cancer is rough.
it's called being shallow. For me personally I was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year and the only people that knew was family but fortunately the tumor was successfully removed and have been Cancer free for over 8 months
