How do guys let their male friends know that they don't value them as a friend and/or colleague?

For example, I've heard that during a meeting, a male supervisor may ask a certain employee what their opinion is, and then right after the employee shares their opinion, he will ask if anyone else has an idea, so as to imply that her opinion doesn't matter to him. Apparently male employees pick up on this signal, and either try to improve their work performance so that their supervisor values their opinion, or they take the hint to find another job. Do guy friends do that too to each other?

Ma'am, u are reading too much from what may be an ambiguous gesture, the supervisor could have wanted a more diverse opinion, or may have wanted an opinion in another direction. Also people cherry pick from a number of opinions, so all these facts could be the reason for asking for other persons views also. It straight away does not imply what you are making it out to be. However, if you really want to strip the man apart you have to disguise many questions to this supervisor and then you can get a fair idea if he values or not a certain person's opinion. Its better to keep a more open mind when judging people and not jump to conclusions.

Just to ask you a few how to questions please. How many are there in our group? 12 ? is that all the people who we communicate with. Can I message all of them together. Sorry, but I only know how to answer peoples questions. Can you message me back?

That is the sort of thing that women do, men are typically direct, at least a 'stronger' man would be direct.

Men don't give a fuck what other people think, I don't mean they won't listen or take advise by the way, I mean they lead, they are going their own direction regardless of what you are doing.

Not like that. There is all kinds of subtext to male-male interactions (that guys are only ever even partially aware of. So keep that in mind).

So there's a kernel of truth in the basic premise that guys will send each other subtle, unspoken mutually understood signals (without even doing it on purpose). But the example here is just not one of them. It... sounds more like an example a woman might give simply because... it's totally wrong insofar as that's not actually a signal that any guy would ever send or pick up on... but it's not totally wrong in the nature of what those signals actually look like. It's just a bad and incorrect specific example. But the idea behind it isn't wrong.

But it's an unspoken language thing. Girls and women do the exact same thing with each other (but it's a different dynamic than guys with each other). But how often will women seem to understand some subtle comment or look from another woman to mean something significant? Pretty regularly. And guys only see a portion of it. Only the obvious stuff... because we don't speak that language.

It's a different language, but the same phenomenon. There are ways guys will signal things. But also, depending on the situation, guys tend to just be a little more straight-forward. So that boss would actually say something overt to indicate he didn't think the opinion was a good one (or intended to signal disapproval). That may have been all polite and professional, but it would have been vocalized and clearer (in this particular case/example).

The subtext with guys is something that I don't think I can really explain (being a guy who does a lot of this without knowing it or thinking about it. As instinct). It does exist, but it doesn't look like the example you gave. Wish I could give you a better answer than "not this". But... hopefully that's better than nothing.

PS) I think you are implying a little to much into your scenario who says her opinion doesn't matter maybe he's trying to get as many ideas/opinions out in the shortest amount of time
And you should always try to do better at your job
PS men are more direct if I had a problem with someone work i would talk to them directly and privately not in front of everyone else at a meeting
Sometimes things mean exactly what they are and there is no hidden implied meaning behind it
