Why did a guy tell me his last fiance passed away and he is over it?

I went on 5 dates with a guy I really like - who on our last date said he had a fiance who passed away - I said I was sorry for his loss, but he said he was over it

why did he bring her up? All we do is kiss but he has never said he wanted me to be his girl friend. He just told me 2x he like me, but I do want to be in a relationship with him. What does this mean and what should I do?

He told you about it because obviously after 5 dates he felt like he could trust you with deeper details of his life/past. He told you he had a fiance who passed away, and that he was over it. Maybe he really is, maybe he really isn't. Either way I don't see what more there is to understand in why he told you about it. Don't overthink it. People come out and say things about their past or people they knew all the time, dating partners included.

One of my exes one day just came out and told me all about how she was raped when she was young. It was unexpected. And she said next to her close girlfriend, I was the only other person she really spoke to about it. It was what it was. I felt sad that she went through that, but didn't overthink why she told me. I just figured it was something she felt like she could trust me with.

I have not told him. I am seriously afraid I will turn him off. Should I tell him? Why do you think he said what he did?

if an ex fiance really exists you should ask the date of her passing and if he has to stop and think then you know he's lying. just saying
