He told me he can go with any woman he wants for a drink and I can't do a thing about it. Is that even normal to say?

We were talking and he said he'd go with some female colleague for a drink if he had time. I just asked him why her when he didn't see his best friend ( also female ) for so long and better go and see her instead. I just suggested thinking she should be more important. He snapped on me saying how I tell him what to do how I will soon forbid him to have friends. And then he said he will go with any woman he wants and i can't say a thing about it. And if I do we won't last too long.
I really feel offended as he is making me look crazy just for suggesting that, and for taking to me that bad way. Am I overreacting?

You made an assumption which can be seen as telling someone what to go, but the fact that he snapped (if he did) seems extreme if nothing else lead to it, it isn’t a good sign. I’d move on if it feels too off like you can’t talk to him about it. Either he’s projecting previous issues into you, or you two may just not be a good match and it’s a response built up from other frustrations too.

Yeah, I just felt like telling him he should consider seeing her as she is really close friend, rather then the one he knows 8 months and literally never met with outside of work. We had issues before because of him adding and texting random women that are not his friends, so that might be a sensitive topic for him. But that's an extra reason to be smooth about what I said instead of saying I will go with any woman I want.

Sounds like something deeper is going on here and he knows it. His reaction is still kinda unfair too though. Sounds like you guys will be toxic or break up.

Why he’s adding random women if he’s in a relationship isn’t good either for obvious reasons. Why do you want to stay with someone who does that.

I don't know honestly. We fought about it million times until he decided to stop that. He have been single for 7 years, dating only casually. He just doesn't seem to know how to behave and how to balance everything
