I used to have a huge crush on an older Italian man (age difference between us is 12 years)
We flirted like crazy, and I always doubted that he liked me until recently.
I got into a relationship and the Italian dude presumed that he was a friend and not my boyfriend. In fact, he completely ignored him and barely spoke to me. He kept asking who he was and he seemed annoyed when I told him it was my boyfriend.
He was happy for me when he found out I was buying a house, but when he found out I was buying it with my boyfriend, his smile instantly disappeared and he became moody.
We got engaged and he didn’t even want to see the ring. He acted disinterested and said he would NOT come to the wedding.
Now, he always gives my partner dirty looks and never speaks to him.
Today, I asked him why he treats my partner like this. He basically lied and said he always says hello and that he “likes” my partner.
im very confused. Is he still into me?
my partner thinks he is obsessed with me.

He probably likes you, not enough to commit to a relationship though otherwise he would have pursued you earlier, but still it burns to him because he lost the option. Now he is probably trying to keep his jealousy for himself without accusing you of anything but is struggling in that while trying to keep it cool. It seems that he decided to go for the "moving on" route I guess. I think you both can let him steam off and go through his acceptance phase, he will slowly get over it and get at peace with that. Perhaps he will learn to pursue women earlier if he really wants them, the next time.
Let him some time to elaborate this in his mind, then if he starts getting annoying and breaks boundaries that is when you should do something about it, but if he manages it by himself then that's just how it should go.
Probably because you're making him jealous... and if you want to have him in the palm of your hand, I recommend that you continue to make him as jealous as you possibly can;)
