Married man won’t stop messaging me , what do I do?

My old personal trainer who was only my trainer for two months in 2021 instagrams me every day as of recent since he eloped which he didn’t even tell me about I found out from his wife’s Instagram.

he sends me messages all day and I remain kind cause we go to the same gym , but today he sent me this

“Nah its all good it was a very recent change you wouldn't have known unless I'd said anything lol but of you ever need help in the future I'm your guy, more than happy to help.”

We were talking about life. I’m your guy? For what? I don't know at first I thought he was just bored but I’m worried his wife is gonna look at his phone and contact me. I haven’t said anything inappropriate but is his message innocent or crazy cause if my husband did that I’d say noooooo no no.

I would have no contact with him at all, because whether or not you mean to, you are encouraging him by answering back and having hm message you each day on Instagram. So--if you want, you can keep him as a friend, but not answer all the time--keep the messages less and less--and if he complains or says he wants to see you or anything-- tell him you're not interested in a married man. If he continues, just block him.

Exactly like I don't know if he’s just being nice or a weirdo. My friend said the same thing !!!

It is ambiguous enough that, if you were interested in him, you could interpret it as a romantic overture. And if you are not interested, you can interpret it in an innocent way. And if his wife evr finds that message, he can deny any romantic or sexual intent.

And that’s why I stopped training with him because I don’t like dishonest people and I always felt he had something to say about everything but never followed through fitness wise either. He talks out of his a** and for some reason maybe he’s now unhappy and needs a friend. I am not a therapist. Very stressful ; because I don’t want to be rude but I’m not interested
