Do reserved guys take time to open up to a girl they like?

This male coworker and I are in talking stage. He never shares anything about his personal life at work while few of us others will share what we did for weekend and about other personal stuff. He has only one social media profile which is set to private.

I have noticed that he dodges very general personal questions I ask him when we are both texting. Otherwise, he replies within seconds, tells me his likes/dislikes and keeps the chat going from his side. I find this odd considering he likes me but at the same time, I think that probably he is one of those reserved guys who opens up to only those few people that he trusts. We both are starting to know each other.

If girls have used that often later against you and men got ridiculed for being too soft, they become more reserved

I am scared, plus I'm also bad at expressing how I feel. It would take an ungodly amount of trust in order for me to open up to someone. I would probably have to know this girl for a very long time.

I've known some guys in my life for easily over 13 years, and I can tell you that we have never once talked about or feelings once, lol. That just how guys are, I guess

Lol that’s an interesting thing to know. Thanks for sharing. I met this guy few weeks ago and we are in talking stage. He responds fast and shares his likes and dislikes. He is heading for a vacation and when I asked him which place is his favourite travel destination, he didn’t reply. May be he thought that it would lead to talking about his upcoming travel. May be he doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it. Only he knows.
He and I work in the same department and he is an introvert. He doesn’t share about his personal life at work. He expressed his strong interest indirectly when I’d met him and I like him after knowing him.
May be he doesn’t trust me enough to open up as I just met him and we share same office team.
I think that’s the reason after I heard your side of similar things. What do you think?

Yeah, that's very possible. Even for me, it took me like almost 2 years to get comfortable with my co-workers. I'd say just give him some time, and chances are he'll get more comfortable with ya.
