Every guy is different so I'm sure it has been done before.. and to be honest I like this question but I don't like it because of that reason
I have meant girls who are beautiful in so many ways but don't have the
Confidence in themselves because they've been teased all their life so they don't believe it when a guy tells them that they're beautiful and then you have guys that tell them that they're beautiful because they're only after one thing
For me when I meet somebody I look deep into their eyes I want to know who they are on the inside because that's who they truly are I want to know how beautiful their heart is I want to feel that energy that passion that desire is that confidence that love that I don't care the fuck fuck off person on the inside that has that confidence it already knows everything about herself that she's honest about it that's the person who I like I can find beautiful in any person if I can find that if I can see that and feel that coming from somebody you are beautiful it's your belief in yourself that is beautiful don't worry about what anybody else says in this world because it's their opinion and who are they there's only one person on this planet that gets to decide if you're beautiful or not and that's yourself and you have to have that confidence you have to find all those good things about you and then also find that person inside to not care what anybody else thinks or says that is what makes a person beautiful I guarantee that you are beautiful and the moment you start believing that is the moment you start living life because everything changes you are focused you are real and you believe in yourself and you love yourself and what's that happens to everybody will love you

I think there are several levels to this question and it is open to different interpretations by people, (1) if you are talking about physical attraction, people can have an instant reaction and say a girl is pretty but I feel you are talking more about attraction to a person, maybe a mix of looks and personality (2) A more developed attraction, people may have an instant looks attraction or an instinct they will like this person. There is no harm in instant reactions and they may develop into stronger attractions later on. On the plus/positive side, a person saying someone is pretty straight away could be anything from politeness to genuine physical attraction and if it leads to something stronger, that is great. I firmly believe that is the vast majority of the intentions behind these statement.

On the much, much smaller side there maybe a minus/negative side where people use false flattery to try and get further along the interaction for whatever reason. Okay what I want to say is that I hope/want to believe that the positive examples are by far the vast majority but the world is not perfect and some people would use it in a negative way.

I think there is no true way to be 100% sure but go with your instinct and believe there are more positive guys than negative guys out there

No but guys are pretty simple in the rating.

As long as she's healthy, she's pretty, and they usually overlook or praise imperfections like some types of scars, some uneven/ asymmetrical boobs, varied butts or freckles. I don't know just whatever girls complain about, guys don't complain about.

Girls look for more aesthetics and don't judge that on natural looks, but what can be achieved with human effort and alterations/ external additions/ interventions. Not everyone can replicate what others do, so they feel they are "ugly."

Some girls compare their natural look to another girl's modified look. Not gonna be happy results that way. A 100%

but both will still be pretty, and never should be compared.

Im not sure stranger’s compliment my looks all the time, I don’t know why, they don’t look like they are lying but you never know. 🤷🏻‍♀️ i can only think people might like if you make it awkward by complaining about your looks to them like how some women are like “I’m so ugly” most people will not agree so they don’t upset that person even if they aren’t attractive.

I’m sure it happens sometimes, yes. Many times, guys will say that a woman is pretty and mean it, but they might be grading on a curve of what they think the woman individually can pull off.

Of course some guys lie about such things. Just as some girls lie. Some people are manipulators and they have no compunction about telling lies to get what they want. But that doesn't mean that MOST guys (or most girls) lie.

I have never told a girl that I thought she was pretty if I did not sincerely feel that way. But I have dated a woman for two years, felt very attracted to her, enjoyed the sexual relationship, eventually broke up with her, and later looked at a photo and wondered how I could have ever been attracted to her.

If a guy notices you somewhere and tells you that he finds you really pretty then you can assume that he is honest about it. After all, at this point there was only your appearance that could impress him.

I find it a bit pushy to enter the conversation that way. I like it better to notice something else about her, like if she's carrying a musical instrument or has a book or something. Still, if you say you find her pretty it is honest and straightforward and it is a logical explanation why you would want to know more about her now.

I don't usually mention looks when I first meet a girl. If she has a horrible personality, she's ugly in my book, no matter how hot others find her.

If she asks, obviously I'm in a corner, and most girls, if you tell them they are anything but pretty or beautiful, they will get offended, so if she asks, I will tell her, yes, but I'd like to get to know her better first to see if her personality matches up with her looks.

Most girls don't like nice guys, so I might pretend like I just don't care. Girls don't respect nice guys because nice guys often don't have confidence in themselves.

Well if you’re pretty then no it wouldn’t be. Guys will however lie and sweet talk you things you want to hear to create an emotional connection in your heart and mind. Once that emotional and sexual desire is within you then you seek them.

Girls hardly fall for a man’s looks unless he’s a really handsome guy. As most women state most men are unattractive. Therefore a women needs to be mentally stimulated by the man in order for her to develop an attraction to them based on what they hear and how they are made to feel.

The first thing that attracts a man to a woman is her appearance. Both guys and girls can develop a crush based on looks and mannerisms. So I think it's highly unlikely that a guy would compliment your looks if he didn't mean it.

That being said, there probably are some guys who use that line to flatter women just so they can get sex from her. But that's pathetic. I doubt if many guys do that.

There are some guys who will tell a woman anything if he thinks he can get her into bed right away. But there are plenty of men who would only tell a woman she was pretty if he thought she was.

If you want to know the difference, you have to look at that person's behavior over time, and see if they are consistent or if they obviously lie or are hypocritical or are selfish. If you pay attention, that's usually not hard to figure out.

Absolutely. There are a lot of girls I find unattractive... definitely more than I find attractive. I'm not gonna walk up to every girl and call them unattractive. I'm usually a pretty blunt guy, but in terms of this specific scenario, I don't call people unattractive.

If a person lies about that they wouldn't say really pretty. They wouldn't go overboard with lie because that would make them sound too intrested, so they would just say pretty only.
Compliment them the least amount to not make them get further ideas.
