What does it mean when a whole group of guys stare at you as you walk by?

So today I was just getting off the treadmill and starting to head back to my fitness class when my schools baseball team came by to wait outside until their meeting started. As I walked passed them, I noticed that quite a few of them just stared straight at me as I walked by. I know they were staring straight at me because I was looking amongst them to see if I could find one of my old classmates as I know he at least used to be on the schools baseball team and I made eye contact with at least 50% of them and one of them sort of smiled when I made eye contact with them and stared at him for a second. Why were they staring at me? I know that the only people who can truly know the answer is them, but I thought some of y’all might have a clue?

Happens all the time when I pass next to them, I usually think they stare at my but, after I’m past them.

I love the moment when one of them sees you the first time and then by the look on his eyes, others follow his gaze to look at you, and then they all stop talking and you feel like a model on a catwalk.

It means you’re hot and they are all recognizing it. As a group of guys (like a team or squad) bond they start to sort out which of them is into what (Bob likes tall blondes, Dan likes short curvy brunettes, Ed likes redheads, etc.). We get a kick out of sharing that brief glance then all recognizing that we know who in our little pack liked the girl we just saw - we then promptly tease him, make jests, or challenge him to go talk to her. It’s just stupid guy behavior.
