Why would a guy start being nicer and More helpful to a Girl He used to ignore?

There is this coworker who is always chummy with Everyone (especially female coworkers) but Never Took an interest in me. Now all of a sudden He Asks me how things are going and offers me help. Why could that be?

He could be starting to like you romantically, as in a crush etc, although it could be him just warming to you based on your work ethic etc.

I meant that he might be starting to like you in a platonic non- romantic way because you work hard or have a nice personality.

Because he's playing games maybe attracted to you. did he start taking to you when your alone or in a group
