Guys, If a guy helps me a lot at the gym, does he like me? If so, how do I show interest?

There's this guy at my gym that I find attractive and a few months ago he would randomly help me clean up my weights without me asking him or saying anything (he knew I was putting them away and this happened twice) and all I said was "Thank you" (probably should have started a conversation), and another time he asked if I was using something or if I needed the weights he was using when clearly I didn't need them at the moment. Also, we never had a real conversation before because I'm incredibly shy and I'm assuming he is a little bit too. All of this has stopped and it could be because he thinks I'm uninterested. Important note: I find it hard to talk with him since he's always with his guy friends and normally does all this when he's not around them.

Since at the beggining his natural reaction was to help you, don't be afraid to ask him for help with you weights or something (when he's alone, without his friends). That's a great excuse to start a conversation. Do it a couple of times, and it will eventually become more comfortable for you two to talk and gain confidence. Then the rest is piece of cake...

I'd recommend you workout around him as much as possible, you want him to notice you're doing it, that'll encourage him to interact again
