Should I make another move?

I had a crush on this guy and we spoke only once. He then moved away and I haven’t seen him in 4 years. I saw him pop up as a suggestion on FB and requested him and he accepted, this was almost a year ago. I never messaged him because I was waiting to see his social media behavior, and I asked a question on here at the time and the advice was to interact with his posts and see if he reciprocates for me. Well…I like some of this posts here and there but he has never interacted with mine. He only views my stories. I don’t wanna look stupid by messaging him lol. His Birthday is coming up tho, and I was wondering if it’ll be okay to sent a birthday wish by writing on his TL? Perhaps he may not even respond but I’m shy to message him. What if he doesn’t remember me at all and I end up looking as if I’m chasing him? As an introvert and an avid over-thinker it’s something that I’ve been avoiding.

It’s too bad you didn’t just message him when you sent the friend request and he approved it, that would’ve been a good opportunity but what’s done is done. If you can find the courage to reach out on his birthday then go for it if you really want to, there’s really nothing to lose since you’re pretty much only acquaintances. Just go into it being being ready to accept whatever the outcome is and have some confidence. Hopefully things go your way.
