If a guy needs space should a girl ask him if needs space or to just leave him be for awhile?

If a dude says he needs space and informs me that that consists of being alone for some time (like days, weeks, etc) then I’ma bounce. There are so many fish in the sea to keep me company since he wants to throw me back in the pond. And if he ever comes back, I won't fall for his bait because I’ll already be rockin on a new pole

If he’s acting distant, you should probably give him a breathing room and let him come to you if he wants to. You’re probably overwhelming him with too much attention

It’s good to communicate. You can ask someone if they need space

But not if you’ve already messaged them several times and they haven’t replied. Then it’s better to just assume they need space and leave them alone for a while.

Ideally next time he needs space just ask how long or let him know you will check in after a period of time (week or month). Leaving it open ended isn’t helpful
