Why do Asian guys never make eye contact with me?

I'm an Asian girl. The thing that I have noticed is that most young Asian guys don't make any eye contact with me. I can't say this for every Asian guy. Today I noticed an Asian guy at the corner of my eye, so I decided to glance over at my fellow Asian. But before I could look at him, I am already noticing him redirecting his eyes away from me so that our eyes wouldn't meet at all. And he's not the first Asian guy to do that. I have a neighbor whose son literally never looked at me for the entire 5 years the he's lived in the same floor as me. If I held out the door open behind me for him, he wouldn't even say thank you. If he held the door for me as I came from behind him, it would seem like he would try his best to not seem like he is looking at me. In another occasion, my female friend was small talking with a male Asian coworker. He didn't look at me the entire time.

On the other hand, Asian women almost always make eye contact with me. Anywhere I go. Even on the streets for no reason. But if its Asian guy, avoidance of eye contact is the normal thing 85% of the time.

Is it because I'm simply just unattractive? And no, avoiding eye contact is not part of Asian culture especially for Asian americans.

well for starters have you noticed a difference in non Asian men? cause Asians in the US are very to themselves, i dont think it has anything to do with you being Asian, its just Asian men are known to avoid problems in general and in the US eye contact can cause problems, im not saying this is the case but i think its got higher chances of it being this over the reason being cause you are Asian, i doubt it has to do with the fact that you are unattractive either, mostly if other men look at you, lets not forget, maybe all these men were taken, the possibilities could be endless and it can be anything that isn't necessarily your race, all this Asian talk making me crave orange chicken. 😐

I'm not an Asian guy, but I was brought up not to stare, like staring is considered rude. I definitely don't think it's has anything to do with how you look. No matter the guy.

I’m not Asian but I live around a lot of Asian people and I just notice in general they don’t make eye contact much. It’s also seen a lot in the media, I guess to portray disinterest or so you won’t get the wrong impression. I do believe Asian men in general do this often from my experience when they are unfamiliar with a woman or have social anxiety.
I actually had a Korean guy who liked me very much and he avoided direct eye contact with me at all costs.
