I have been seeing a guy (40 y/o) off/on for 10 months. 1st time we started seeing each other i ended it after 3 months bc I felt like he wasn't serious about dating me. He said he wanted to keep seeing me but didn't acknowledge if he was serious or not. I reached out 2months later to hook up and we started sleeping with each other again but I said i wasn't in a place to be in a relationship.1 day i tried to make plans and long story short i didn't like that it took him a day to respond when I was trying to make plans to see him a day in advance so i ghosted him. He reached out twice, i answered the 2nd time. A month later i reached out. We met 4drinks talked through everything and he said he wanted 2date me and see where things go bc we both are looking to settle down. today (3weeks l8r) im confused.
We live in NYC and his job is in finance, advises billionaires. Basically every night he has a dinner with a client, work event, or is traveling4work. He is terrible at planning in his personal life and his assistant manages his work calendar. All of the times, except once, we have seen each other were at night last minute on both of our parts. He doesn't text or call consistently. But when we are together he is completely present, our chemistry (emotional and physical) is amazing and we have both said it to each other a few times, doesn't touch his phone, listens and remembers what i say, asks questions to get to know me, always takes care of the bill, orders the uber, says he trusts me, and makes me feel like he really cares about me. I've expressed a few times that i really would like him to plan more and communicate more. He explains he is terrible at planning and his job is very demanding that its hard to be on his phone when he's with clients at dinner but he always responds as soon as he can. Finally got him to put dinner on his cal for 2 weeks in advance. i asked him to call me the next day and he didn't.
Is he just not that into me?
