My boyfriend makes me feel stupid with his questions?

Example: we were talking about the movie The Prestige, i never saw it so he told me a bit about it and then he goes like "and then there's Nikola Tesla played by Bowie... u know Nikola Tesla?" and i was like... taken aback. It's like asking me if i know Einstein. Of COURSE i know who that man is! It's not the first time he does this, the same day he asked about Tesla, we were talking about the video/meme with that cat that jumps everytime the metronome makes a sound. And even then he asked me "you know what a metronome is?" i looked at him like he was the dumbest human on earth. Why the hell does he do that? Does he think im stupid or what? I should note that we're an age gape relationship, im 25 and he's 35, so maybe he thinks im just too young to know about all of this? What the hell, im an adult

How long have you two been together and is this new behavior or something he has always done? Just curious but yeah that is weird that he feels like you don't know what he is talking about. He seems to make the assumption that you don't know these things automatically instead of just assuming and waiting for you to butt in and ask. Well that is exaclty what I would do if I were you. No need to get mad and do it in an angry way but maybe say that you don't like that and if you don't know something you will ask but for him to assume you know what you are talking about.

Some of the women I date are younger and don't necessarily know all the things I know, but they tend to be appreciative of the knowledge I impart.

From your point of you, I can see how it would seem that he thinks you're stupid... but I feel like he just wants to teach or help you learn something. For me, instead of assuming they don't know something I instead encourage them to ask questions about things they don't know.
