Honestly. After what I just experienced tonight I don't know if I’ll ever be able to see my friend in the same way again.
It was just really fcking bad.
We were hanging out in my friend’s room and by the time he had his final shot of bourbon whisky before everything went south, my other friend I guess saw the signs and was urgently pointing us out the door telling us we had to leave now.
So we did but to my surprise the dude couldn’t even walk on his own was swaggering all over the place and even collapsed to the ground a few times and I had to pick him back up.
Anyway, we exit the building we’re outside, I tell him to sit and wait and I’ll bring the truck over but he’s all like “don’t leave me” so I’m like “alright fine”.
Then proceeds to go on rants for 30 minutes about all sorts of stuff while I’m trynna calm him down.
Keep in mind we’re outside at a college campus (albeit past midnight) and the dude is literally yelling “I’ll f*cking kill everyone” and making all sorts of animalistic shrieks.
Some girl outside that was just chilling out by herself literally saw what was happening and asked if everything was ok but he was screaming back at her “f*ck you, I’ll f*cking kill you”
Anyway, she basically sprinted for the inside of the building.
Then he breaks down crying and saying he wants the police, so I call them.
But when they get there now he’s alternating between “I love you your my bro” and “fck you (my name).”
But honestly yeah. I told the Police he banged his head because I literally saw the dude from a mostly standing position (his knees were bent though and legs spaced apart because of the drunkenness) fall straight down and hit his head. I heard a literal fcking sound too. And it happened twice that night on two separate occassions.
It only appeared to be a minor bruise but still though as they were taking him away in the ambulance I heard him making all sorts of not screams but the male version of them. The “rrrrrr” type frustration sounds.

That's a tough call as you have two layers of enforcement (law enforcement and campus policy). I think you will only end up being a witness and it is standard practice to get contact information from everyone present. I wouldn't worry too much if this is the only incident you have experienced on campus. The suspect will likely receive a "criminal trespass" letter banning him from campus, and perhaps a disorderly conduct/intoxicated misdemeanor charge.
As an ambulance took him (lucky for him), they likely did a 24 hour commitment for psych evaluation.
A word to the wise. When someone says shit like "I'll kill everyone", believe them. This guy is a cocked hammer waiting for the trigger to be pulled. It's good you were there and called the police when you did, you quite possibly saved his life.
Well the suspect is actually a University student. But yes it is very likely possible the Police will give him a notice not to go in my dorm and I’d be totally ok with that
But yeah man I honestly feel like a piece of my heart shattered. Just seeing a friend so broken like that. It hurts man.
@WhiteBoyChill. If he hasn't had prior incidents the university might mandate counseling and monitoring, which might not be a bad thing as long as he isn't forced to have a feminist counselor.
Yes. One of the cops on scene actually did tell me they’ve dealt with him before and she laughed and said she’s gotten to know him quite well
Anyway man, he came from an abusive home growing up so I guess all the life trauma is why he drinks like a madman.
He definitely has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol.
As for me, I prefer not to get blackout drunk and I only really ever drink a couple beers in a single night
You are a witness
Ah gotcha. But I don't know if they plan on bringing criminal charges against him or something.
I mean its possible his conduct might’ve violated some sort of University protocal.
In any crime or investigation they try to gather as much info as possible in case needed later
Ok, so they’re likely not mad at me or anything
If he didn't give the cops a hard time and if there isn't someone wanting to press charges, he will likely not be charged criminally.
@KrakenAttackin He was uncooperative with them. They literally did have to restrain him a few times
Granted that motherf*cker was so drunk he couldn’t get up and fight, but he was trying to resist the medical examiner and being carried into the ambulance
@WhiteBoyChill OK, if they had to use any force they might have charged him. Here's the answer, call the station (or go online perhaps) and see if you can get a copy of the report. Even if his name is redacted it will show if charges were made or might be pending.
As a rule, if you have to put hands on someone you should charge them with resisting arrest and whatever the original charge might be, such as disorderly conduct.
Neither is a real problem and the court might well dismiss the charges if he follows a prescribed counseling plan and has no recurrences.
@KrakenAttackin Yeah, I think he might’ve had some issues with them in the past too though. One of the officers literally did say “this isn’t my first time dealing with him”.
Also, where can I get that information?
Just my town’s Police Department website?
Was it the local police or university police? Whichever department took him into custody will have a report on file. Some departments post their reports online, others print hard copies and keep them in their lobby. Either way anyone has a right to go and ask for a report. The only exception is for serious crimes under investigation.
Personally, I woukd go to the station and give them the date/time of the incident and ask for a copy of the report.
@KrakenAttackin University Police. But yes, that is good to know and they do have a Police Department I can go to
I figure better I go drive there than call 911 which is mostly for emergencies
Do NOT call 911. Just drive down and ask for a copy of the report.
@KrakenAttackin That’s what I figure is best 👍
