A few years ago I had a peptic ulcer and nearly died. It was left untreated. Lately, I've been having similar symptoms and complained about them in a text to a guy friend two days ago. He replied, talkin about other stuff, but didn't comment on the health part. This evening he texted back again out of the blue to tell me I should see a doctor, no excuses.
My question is, why would someone comment on it days later but not when I actually texted about it? It's no big deal really, but I was just wondering as I can't see myself doing the same thing.

Of course, you'd handle it different, so now it has to be analyzed. This is the type of shit that drives men nuts.
If we are going to do "I would have done it this way" I would say to myself "Damn! Gertrude must really care about me to say that. Gertrude is a great friend!" You are tying yourself in knots about something that really doesn't matter. He probably thought about it a bit, and then told you to go to the the doctor.
How is this a question? 😂 Girl, the last time you had stomach pain that you didn't treat, you almost died. He told you to go to the hospital because he doesn't want you to die.
