Does he still care about me?

I was with this guy for 3 months but it just didn’t work out mutually and we decided to be friends. Well long story short I have a heart condition and had an episode at 2:30am on a Saturday. I was hanging out at his house with his dogs while he was 30 min away doing some stuff. It was 2:30am and I started having a heart episode. I messaged him saying I can’t breathe. He messages me back saying call 911. A few min later he calls and says ambulance is on the way I’ll be there as soon as I can. He immediately leaves where he was at with a few friends. He said he was running every red light and going 80 mph down the main road. He gets there and tells me I have to let the paramedics take me to the hospital. I saw on his Snapchat he posted a story saying, “friend went into cardiac arrest :( prayers” it was a video of the ambulance in front of his house. He ended up staying with me at the hospital until 4:30 in the morning. I then ended up staying at his place in separate beds tho. Is this something somebody would do for just anybody or does he still really care? I feel like a guy wouldn’t fly down the main road 80mph blowing through every red light calling an ambulance at 2:30am and then stay at the hospital until 4:30am unless he truly cared about somebody.
