If I recently heard from another woman that the same man who’d pursued me relentlessly for the past 2 years and recently admitted that he’d not had the courage to make a move back when I was in love with him, 3 years ago, that same man had been on a first date and they’d hooked up, is that a good sign that I’m going to be left alone?

I don’t think this is normal behaviour. But we’re both autistic, so I know maybe he just doesn’t get it. To me, it’s normal to just be direct about your feelings, if you’ve got them.
