Why do taken men make their partner jealous out of nothing?

I'm extremely upset today. I was only sitting in my car waiting for my family. This guy in his car also parked up, and he stared at me first quite intensely, and I only glanced once and looked away. This is what angers me. He leaves the car park, and stops his car infront of mine to collect his partner. Says something to her, to his partner and then she started giving me dirty looks and staring me down. She mouthed don't stare at my boyfriend, I said I don't care about staring at him get over yourself. I was using my phone so tried ignoring them but it was so uncomfortable. He didn't even move his car after a minute. Seriously, hate myself so much. This is why I hate when couples stare at other people, because if you're going to start making comments, or creating a situation. Not fun being on the other side.

Sounds like they are both immature and maybe him more than her. Heade something out of nothing and then dragged her into it unknowingly. She probably did think you were staring at him simply because that's what he told her. Does that give her the right to mouth that? Not really. I mean she can be upset but I would've just let it go considering you probably won't see them again. No point in her getting all fired up over something stupid even if it were the truth. Why would he do that? No clue. People do stupid and silly things all the time.

Thanks, I was just disturbed because there was literally nothing there. I was only waiting in the car for my family.
I know, you can't control peoples behaviour, but it makes me feel horrible. Like I'm used for something.

I wasn't driving the car. It was parked I was in the passenger seat. By that logic then the guy who was actually driving the car should have drove in, instead of being an idiot.
