Why do guys ask girls if they want a kiss?

it happened to me i was soo surprised i didn't even know what to say after he asked me that. Do guys do this on purpose to laugh at girls?

It is, sadly, a way to test girls and how they respond. In most cases, a normal and decent girl will reject the kiss because otherwise, she would indicate that she

1. either has a crush on that particular guy or

2. she is easy to get and will let anyone kiss her. That is really not a good sign.

You should immediately pull back and never allow a guy to kiss you, mainly if the request is done in public. You would get a reputation and you could also be laughed at in public, usually in front of the guy's friends and buddies.

Just let those boys be children and don't lower yourself to their level.

It's called consent. Yes it's sort of odd the say it out loud, but given recent history, it's probably safest for a man to seek explicit consent. Look at it this way, if you don't want to kiss him all you have to do is say no

Say yes and put him on the spot. Even if he doesn't kiss you, it doesn't mean he didn't want to.
In an example from my own life. As a young virgin, I had been flirting with a more experienced young woman. She had been trying to give me go ahead signals but I was getting it. Finally in frustration, she came up to me while we were both working evening shift and said "Do you want to fuck?" I did, I really really did, and I said "yes". Problem was, that was as much as I could manage. I should have asked, "Now, or after the shift is over?", "Your place or mine?" or SOMETHING. Instead, I apparently expected her to lead me by the hand. With the ensuring decades past, I now recognize that had I shown just a little more effort it would have happened. I'm sure she felt I snubbed her when that was not my intention. She probably thinks "What the hell did I have to do, rape your ass?"
So go ahead, if you wantto kiss him, say yes, but don't assume that if he doesn't, he didn't WANT to.

What ever happens just don't let rejection phase you. It just means he isn't the one for you and there is someone better out there. Besides if he rejects you after asking for a kiss then he's a jerk for toying with your emotions.
