Am I the only one that thinks ghosting a relationship is polite? Am I weird, or am I just really accepting of this guy?

I get ghosted, and I just interpret it as though the guy is just being modest, whereby he's not arrogantly assuming that I had such a great time being with him that I would actually be sad that he suddenly disappeared. I mean, you know, time goes by quite quickly. The moment he stopped initiating contact with me, I simply returned to the hobbies that I usually take part in, and since I'm passionate about my hobbies, I forget that I haven't heard from him in a while. As he always showed respect and empathy during the relationship, I just assume that he ghosted me with only the best of intentions. Am I weird for not hating a guy that does this? Or does it just show that I really understand and accept him as a person?
