I get ghosted, and I just interpret it as though the guy is just being modest, whereby he's not arrogantly assuming that I had such a great time being with him that I would actually be sad that he suddenly disappeared. I mean, you know, time goes by quite quickly. The moment he stopped initiating contact with me, I simply returned to the hobbies that I usually take part in, and since I'm passionate about my hobbies, I forget that I haven't heard from him in a while. As he always showed respect and empathy during the relationship, I just assume that he ghosted me with only the best of intentions. Am I weird for not hating a guy that does this? Or does it just show that I really understand and accept him as a person?
Yes, if someone starts to ghost you after you confessed is absolutely not normal they should at least give you an answer there should always be a closure it helps both.. to move on in life and Yes it's not polite and you should not be okay with it. I'm now sure how you are okay with it did you really loved him? Or was he just a guy friend?

Sorry, you are normalizing am unacceptable behavior. Nowadays people tend to ghost because it's easier than confronting the other person and being honest

I don't see why not being honest. If it was just a casual date, just make clear not promising anything. It won't kill being honest and saying a couple of words.
The only "acceptable" situation would be blocking someone who won't take a no.
Being ghosted sucks. It also shows that the person ghosting you has no respect for you, and are essentially cowards.
If you get ghosted by someone who you have dated for months and for whom you have developed feelings, your thoughts on being ghosted may change.
In my opinion ghosting is the cowardly way. The guy doesn't have any guts or courage to say whats on his mind which just shows the type of person he is. For me it means he never truly cared about you when he can just disappear without a single word.
If a girl ghosts me, well it's life, nothing I can do.
I think ghosting is cowardly.
it’s all the same in the end
