Has he moved on?
This guy whom I was quite shy and awkward around has gone from trying to attract my attention by positioning himself in my eyeline and coming over to my side of the office, smiling in my general direction when he sees me but awkwardly looking down when me make eye contact to completely avoiding eye contact when he sees me. He would turn his gaze and stare sideways into nothing when we’re passing each other. Almost bizzare? He used to stare at me so intensely when i have my back towards him (people im with would notice the intensity of his gaze and always look at hom) and he will not know what to do with himself when he sees me (flailing his hands, stopping himself mid conversation when he’s with a colleague causing said colleague to turn too)
He also opened up about personal issue / a vulnerability to me (we are acquaintances at best) and I think that’s when the change in behaviour happened. I reacted positively but not sure if he regrets telling me?
He would still look my way when he thinks I’m not looking, linger / hover near me but not make eye contact when I’m talking to others (like he’s listening in on my convos). He still look at me from his peripheral vision but he just whips his head away when we establish eye contact.
Has he moved on / lost interest and that is why he is avoiding eye contact with me?
