Why would he point me out to his dad?

So a guy I've been friends with since we were kids (he gave me a bracelet when we were young like 11 years old) who I hadn't seen in years reached out to me and we been kinda talking/visiting here and there for a while, I've been to his parents house to visit him, he always gives me hugs (he is very shy... like only had 1 girlfriend type shy) today is his birthday and so I texted him happy birthday to which he replied with thank you. I then asked him if he has any plans and he said "no just shopping with dad" so then I ended up needing to run a few errands and oddly enough I ended driving by him and his dad (it's a very very small town) and noticed his dad then kinda followed me to the same store which I know seems coincidence but the way he looped the truck around it seemed like he was trying to get my attention then when I came out of the one store I seen him and his dad standing outside their truck, I was gonna go say hi but I got too nervous and now I regret it. His dad has only seen me one other time but doesn't know what car I drive until today, I'm quite certain he pointed me out to his dad in my car today. So my question is, if he pointed me out to his dad like that is there a possibility he really likes me? I asked him in text if he wanted to hang out but he didn't answer but still looked at my snap stories. My friends told me I should have went up to him. I'm thinking about baking him a cake and bringing it to him for his birthday.

Guys usually only show girls they like to their parents. And he's been shy his whole life so this is a big deal. I bet he thought it was super cool you randomly drove by.

Thanks I apreciate the feedback. I think I'll have to wait until tomorrow to bring him the cake. He lives 40 minutes away and it's already 8:30 in the evening. I just feel silly that I missed my opportunity because I was nervous too haha but I think if I bring it to him tomorrow it still would be cool because then I can play it off as I didn't want to bother him in case he was busy with his family haha

Oh yeah of course, waiting till tomorrow to deliver the cake is probably your best move at this point. No need to show up super late when he's probably chilling with fam on his bday ya know?

And don't even sweat missing that moment earlier - we've all been nervous before! Totally play it cool saying you didn't wanna interrupt if he was busy. Guarantee he'll appreciate the cake regardless, and you can maybe get another chance to see him in person without the pressure.

The timing will work out how it's meant to. Just focus on baking something dope and bringing a smile to his face tomorrow! Then see where the vibes at. But I think you're totally making the right call waiting till daylight hours. He'll be pumped either way, just relaxxx sis! You got this.
