I just read a post on reddit which was about girls having bikini pics on their insta account, many men said they are okay with their girlfriend having bikini pics on her insta but when it comes to marriage they would never want their wife to have those.

Is it common for men in general to having different standards for girlfriend and wife.

It's not that common, although there are a lot of men on forms like this who do that. Those men typically do not find marriage, because they didn't have a father to teach them that the women who they deem wife material are judging them in same way that they judge promiscuous women.

I equate it to going to a party and she flirts and dances with other men. Sure she's attractive, that's why I was attracted to her in the first place.
If she doesn't come home with me then she was never mine in the first place. She's her own person.
So in the context of bikini's. If men look at her when she was single in her bikini and she chose me, then it's her choice to wear one when married.
In some ways it's quite a badge of honour to have your wife showing off her curves and other men look at her, knowing she's coming home with me.

The more serious it is, the closer things get toward marriage the higher the vetting gets, the more deal breakers there may be.

Let's put it this way, if a woman is posting sexy pictures on line on some public social media page to where any man on earth can view it and any man can slide into her DMs privately at any time (she is still advertising herself sexually) would NEVER get a commitment from me.

Possibly a casual use only scenario but I'm never going to give her a commitment. I don't commit until she gets off social media and quits advertising her body and quits leaving that DM backdoor for men to pursue her and talk to her privately.

Most guys would "date" an OnlyFans girl for bedroom fun, but most men would know she's also not a strong bet for being a loyal partner in a marriage.

Some girls put themselves out there for entertainment purposes only. Then they're upset when there's "no good men" left. Hah.

i am the rare breed that has a different standard for different relationships. if the first decent match isn't for wed i'll still have relationships because decent match, until i hopefully finding wife standard to end first and date potential wife.

for me personally absolutely not. my standards are the exact same. because before I got married I only wanted marriable women. I didn't want a woman that I may end up breaking up with. I wanted a wife. so I looked for a wife. my wife was my girlfriend first certainly but I asked her out because she seemed like a wifely woman. she was indeed a wifely woman.

No because for me the big barrier is asking her to be my girlfriend. I take a relationship as serious as marriage so if I ask you to be my girlfriend I would only do so if I genuinely don't think I would leave you for anyone else.

Yeah, that's pretty normal. Many guys see women in two categories, the ones they date / have casual sex with, and the ones they want to marry. Standards are much higher for the latter group.
