He avoids looking at me?

He used to look at me from afar, close up and looking into my eyes. But now, he only looks at me from the distance and avoids eye contact when I’m talking to him. He only stares when he thinks I’m not looking and when I turn to look at him he quickly looks away. I began to observe his behaviour with others, and he’s very talkative to everyone else but me? He stares at them and everything but not with me. He used to do that with me but now he’s kind of avoiding me, and i haven’t done anything to upset him. When he walks into the room that I am in and he sees I’m there, he immediately avoids eye contact. He’s also hot and cold, one day he shows signs of interest and other days he’s avoiding me. I don’t know what’s happening?

Hmm that is strange behavior for sure. A few possibilities:

- He might be shy and getting more nervous/awkward around you as his feelings grow stronger. Avoiding eye contact could be him trying not to stare too long.

- Something may have happened to make him self-conscious or unsure of how you feel. Did you ever directly talk about your feelings for each other? Lack of clarity could cause anxiety.

- Possibly lost interest or met someone else, but then why the continued glancing/staring? Would be weird hot/cold then.

- Stress or issues outside of your relationship may be affecting his mood and how he acts around you. School/family stuff happens.

My advice would be try talking to him directly when you get a chance. Keep it casual, smile, and say something like "Hey, noticed you seem a bit distant lately. Everything ok?" His response may give you clues. If he opens up, you can share your confusion too. Good communication is important. Hopefully it gets sorted soon! Maybe he just needs reassurance. Keep me posted!
