This guy goes out of his way to hold the door open for me?

This guy in my building goes out of his way to hold the door open for me.

If I run into him in the lobby, and he is heading out, he will wait for me to come back from the store or whatever and hold the door open for me before he leaves.

Or if I'm going out, he will linger around the door (looking busy on his phone) and wait for me to leave so he can hold the door open for me. Trying to not make it obvious, or whatever.

Sometimes, it's like he is hiding from me.

When I see him around the neighborhood we always exchange hellos. He speaks so quietly I can barely hear him.

Sounds like he being nice and respectful. I know my dad always told me he was taught from an early age if he didn’t offer to open a door for a lady, he’d be punished for being disrespectful (by his mom.)

Yes, it's his upbringing. I think his parents probably spoke highly of me so that's why.

But his Dad is a little sus because when his wife and kids went in vacation he was totally making eyes at me saying "he doesn't like being alone". 🫠 🤔 😬 🫨. Also, I had dated a guy for a bit who was a bit younger so I don't know if his Dad said some scandalous stuff to him. Some dads do encourage their sons on sketchy behaviours with women.
