Were not very close but sometimes we talk, he will compliment me on my insta stories. Maybe im over reacting? Its just strange that he would suggest that movie

I don't want to assume too boldly but that seems very suspicious like maybe he wants to sleep with you, hoping to get you tipsy on beer and turn you on with the movie.

... or maybe he just loves erotic films and it's completely innocent. That seems so unusual though and still overly forward to me to suggest that to watch together.

Im not sure… maybe i should i give him the benefit of the doubt and assume its innocent, but again it is pretty unusual for a guy to suggest such movie

Sometimes he does respond to my insta stories and compliment me. Recently he made a joke about wanting a massage from me etc… so I don't know if that means anything 😅

Perhaps you can suggest an alternative movie if that one makes you uncomfortable or just straight up asking like, "Hey, why an erotic movie? 😂" I think if you keep the question reasonably humorous, you can find out without offending him in any way.
