I don't think my guy friend holds me in high regard?

I've developed feelings for my guy friend, I haven't blatantly told him these feelings but he has an idea that they 'potentially' exist maybe due to my actions..

Anywho I'm just a bit irritated with how he is going about everything. Firstly, he is trying to play match maker with every Tom, Dick and Harry. I know he is possibly doing this because he suspects I like him and therefore wants to her "rid" of me by hooking me up with other guys.

Recently he made a suggestion that I should date a close friend of his, whom he apparently claims I share similarities with.

I'm not against what his doing but rather HOW his doing it.

It makes me feel worthless and rather cheap.

I came to a realisation that his actions have really hurt me. And maybe this is even symbolic to the fact that he doesn't hold me in high regard.

I may not know much but I know that a person who holds me in high regard would not try to set me up with other people as a cowardly attempt to get me to "stop" liking them.

I'm disappointed by the things his doing and coincidentally enough it has made me stop liking him completely.

Men need to realise this: Just because a girl has fallen for you, please don't treat her like she's stupid. In the least, have some respect for her even if you don't reciprocate her feelings

OR... you could act like an adult and have a direct conversation with him. Nothing at all has stopped you from doing that. Instead, you both continue playing these games. I'm not saying that he's any better - he's not - but you aren't any better either.

You can't expect someone else to act like an adult if you don't act like one either.

Why would I want to indulge in a conversation with someone that treats me the way that he has. it is clear that he does not respect me, therefore what is the point.

The point would have been to have that conversation weeks ago, so that you could have figured that out like an adult, and ended the relationship and moved on, like an adult, rather than to continue to waste each other's time and energy and create more trauma for yourself. Because that's really all you've done here by continuing to participate in these games.
