Why do I get male attention when wearing makeup, but no attention when going without?

So, I have a boyfriend that thinks i look good with and without makeup. He says that I dont look that different when wearing makeup, i look similar to when not wearing any. So my question is why i get this extra attention from men. Literally, they stare, smile at me, one guy asked if he could sit beside me and talk with me. I said no obviously. But, also when girls look at me, they think problably that i am pretty too, but o get side eyed and bitch eyed by many girls that see me.. I don't know why. Haha. So when i wear no makeup, i get no attention, from nobody and its like i look more average i think.

Men are simple creature that believe that makeup changes how a woman looks. Sure, a ton of makeup can change how one looks compared to wearing no makeup.

Now, I have been able to observe that a number of men believe that a girl that walks around with makeup on are hunting for attention. We know that it is not true but try to convince a simple minded guy that it is not true. You might as well talk to a wall.

Makeup enhances those facial parts that men feel attracted to, meaning the lips and the eyes. You highlight those 2 areas and you have men howling at you.

Two things you should consider. One, makeup for women is like facial hair for men, and how we wear it determines what someone else thinks of our looks. That means whether you wear minimal or excess makeup, it’s going to affect your appearance and what men think about it. Your boyfriend will always be subjective to your looks and think you're beautiful no matter what, as he should. The average guy may not think the same when your bare faced though, and sure we could say that sucks but I don’t feel like it matters once your in a relationship.

because wearing makeup is female mating strategy. whether you're consciously doing it or if you actually actively want that or not doesn't matter but you are communicating that you wanna mate if you wear makeup. that's why you get more attention when you wear makeup. also obviously makeup makes you more attractive so that helps.

@Caroline91 yeah it's crazy how unaware women are sometimes. my sister started wearing yoga pants and is confused why so many men pay her attention. i'm like dude you're litterally showing your ass and turning men on. how can women be so blind and ignorant sometimes? xD

It's simple. Just as the right attire looks good on a guy, so make up looks good on a woman (except when applying the stuff like war paint!)

You can't use common sense to figure it out? Why do women wear make up? To be more attractive. You will obviously get more male attention if you look for attractive.

Dont have to be rude that i didn't use my common sense, because I do. The thing is that 1-2 years ago i was using makeup and i NEVER got that type of attention before now, so i am not used to it.
