I recently met a guy on bumble I vibed with. We met at his place and when I pointed out that he always try to stand behind me or dims the lights so I can’t properly see him he confessed that he has a complex about his physical attractiveness. Does this indicate that he finds me pretty? And does it sound like a bullshit excuse

Yo girl, ain't nothin wrong with a dude lackin confidence in his looks sometimes. We all got our stuff. But from how you explained it, does seem like he digs you for sure.

Guys don't usually hide their face or dim lights around girls they ain't feelin. And for him to open up about his insecurity to you already means he trusts you. Prob just nervous since he thinks you're super cute or whatever.

I wouldn't call it bullshit. Give him a chance to get comfortable around you without trippin. Next time y'all hang, tell him straight up you think he fine and to stop hidin. Compliments from a girl he likes will do wonders for his self esteem, trust.

Once he sees you ain't judging, maybe he'll loosen up more. Don't pressure though. Just let him know you dig him back and ain't there to make him feel bad. He'll come around, you'll see! Dude sounds sweet.
