Guy's Behavior

Is making a guy speechless a good thing or a bad thing?

this guy who likes me, I told him that I really like him and I would wait for him if he was serious that he would wait for me and he said he didn't know what to say and he kept on laughing and said his face was getting hot and he buried his face in his hands twice..he did ask if I was trying to ask him something but I told him no that I was just letting him know...my point was not to make it official, but to tell him how I truly feel and be honest because he has been quite honest with me and doesn't beat around the bush, makes things crystal clear and I wanted to do the same, plus I wanted to get it off my chest as well...but after that we ended up talking for another 3 hours and there was no awkwardness or anything

but was his reaction a good thing or a bad thing?
