so I went out with this guy I've been talking to for a couple of weeks and we went bowling on our first date. I felt like we hit it off we played two rounds and he got me a drink and was very flirty and put his arm around me at times. we wanted to go out to dinner after but it was super crowded so we ended up leaving and I asked how much time he had and he said he had to leave in like half an hour (he lives an hour away) because it was his dads friends birthday and his dad wanted him to be there or something? so we just grabbed some food at rubios and then went our separate ways. I usually text guys afterward thanking them and saying I had a great time but I didn't this time because I was kind of confused if he used that as an excuse to leave early or he really had to go..i know I would use that as an excuse if I didn't like my date and I'm usually the one who has to leave guys on dates so it was kind of weird. our original plans were during the daytime but somehow we ended up hanging out around 7. we Haven't spoken since last night..so I'm wondering if he wasn't into me or he actually had to legit leave?

Wait until he contacts then you'll have your answer. Most guys don't expect the girl to initiate contact after the date. They won't take it as a rejection if she doesn't since they know some girls are old fashioned and expect the guys to call. Guys on the other hand are always expected to make the first move, so if he doesn't, you'll have your answer.
