Are we wasting each others' time?

I have been seeing this guy for 8months now. at first things were really col and we used to talk on the phone for a long time everyday but then after a month or so the calls became less frequent and we would go for about 2weeks without talking. at first it was stressing me but I kinda accepted it because am not really a clingy person but thing is he claims he really likes me but he was heart broken before and wants to take his time, and right now he's at a point where he wants to pursue his dreams first, him advancing in school and all. He tells me I can always come to his house whenever I want to but that could be because he knows I would never show up unannounced. when we together everything is good and we always have a good time and he always wants to hold me and everything but we stay without talking for the longest time, sometimes I text him he doesn't reply and I also do the same too. when there's an exciting movie he really wants to see, am the one he goes to the movies with, when he wants to go out to eat he goes out with me. does he really like me or we just stringing each other along because its a comfortable situation. I feel like if he likes me as much as he says, he should find time to talk to me. we are not boyfriend girlfriend but we only see each other, or that's what he says and I don't have reason to doubt him.

I'm in the same boat.. I've been feeling the same way as you. We use to talk for hours on end all the time and text throughout the day. But as things became more official and his work got hectic and family obligations keep growing, and I'm trying to maintain certain grades in uni and still keep my job and he's at times traveling for work .. he's stopped calling and txting less. I think at the beginning everyone acts like everything in their life is OK, and they are just fun loving relaxed people. But as you get closer you feel more comfortable in pushing your relationship needs aside to address things that must be dealt with asap like work, school, family obligations etc. deadlines are deadlines. You can't go on losing sleep for the rest of your life right? At first its cute and you can deal with not sleeping properly for nights on end .. but eventually its just not possible. It started creating problems in our relationship for a while. Then I spoke to a friend of mine, and he stated that him and his girlfriend don't talk much, but they both know they are faithful and committed. And that's all that matters, you both need to have an understanding of each other. I know its hard when you hear your girlfriends talking about how their bf's call them at night every night etc etc. it makes you question your own relationship.. but now I started comparing the responsibilities my girlfriends have and their bf's have in their lives with the major ones me and my boyfriend have. Its simply not feasible.

I'm exactly the same. I don't talk to my girlfriend everyday unless it's something important/exciting. What's the point of catching up everyday when you haven't done much to talk about. I think a lot of guys think the same and will usually answer if you call but won't call you if their is nothing new to talk about.

Stop worrying and creating drama in your head. If your all good face to face then what's the problem?
