What does it mean when a guy says he kind of likes your personality?

I mean, either he likes you or not, right? So what is he really saying and should a girl feel bad about that. He says he likes everything else like my looks but says he kind of likes my attitude sometimes. Is this a bad thing?

That is a very good thing. Especially if he said that he "kinda" likes your attitude. That shows that he is trying to keep his feelings under control and doesn't want to come forth as desperate or pushy. He likes you, maybe more than you think, but the way guys like girls aren't always the same way girls like guys, he needs to get to know you first so don't get overwhelmed by it and jump to go get the candles just yet, be reasonable and be yourself and talk to him at the appropriate times.

If a guy says you have a great personality, that is always a good thing. At least from what I've learned. It means that he just likes you for being you. If he says he likes your looks too, he's OBVIOUSLY into you! :D

He didn't say I had a great personality. I said he said he KIND OF likes my personality or attitude is what he says. I'm asking what does it mean when he says, 'kind of''? Did you really even read my question? I said nothing about great personality.

"Kind of" often means more than what someone actually means. He might have said it so that he wasn't coming off too strong like : "Wow, I love your personality!" ..."Kind of" might also mean he's unsure. Yes, I read your question.

He likes you. The way you described things point out that he either wants to lay his cards out slowly or he's still not sure. Either way he likes your personality. EVEN if he just said "kind of". It makes sense in my head, it's just hard to word it, haha.

Oh, ok. Well, that's nice to know cause I thought he was really trying to say that he kind of doesn't like me. You know, kind of goes both ways. But ok. He likes me but to be honest I'm not really into him. He's a cool guy but not exactly my type.

Mmmmmm, well I tend to disagree with the other answers and would say that if a guy likes you he likes you (and makes it known). He doesn't 'kinda' like you, and so I'm sorry to bear the news that he's not so into you, really. He is on the fence and it means that you shouldn't waste your time on him because you deserve better--there are guys out there that will really like you!

Well, he was saying that on our first date but then later he started saying he really likes me. We're even together now. He calls me 50 times a day. No joke. I guess it can mean lots of things
