Why do guys call girls late at night?

I was told that a male will only call a female (long time friend, casual friend, acquaintance, someone he just met), late at night for example after midnight just to 'talk dirty' or to have 'pillow talk' or because he fancies her.

Is this true?

lol, I was just about to ask a question about this based on this girl I like. See, the girl I like, well, her job has her getting out at 230 in the morning Wednesday through Saturday. Other than that I don't think she works or goes to school (so she has Sunday through Tuesday off). I'm currently not working, but am looking for something.

I realize that girls believe being called after 230 am, to be a "booty call", and I've learned that there are actually 10 different types of booty calls. Google them, you'll find out a lot.

If I were to call her at 230 without explaining why I'm calling her and or saying to her, it's NOT a booty call then I think she would still think it was anyway, just because it's sort of been etched into a girls mind that it's a booty call after at least 12 am. I haven't had sex with her yet, and while I think she's hinted that she wants it, I don't. I don't want to be "that guy" to her. I've actually been trying ot reach her this week because I've been trying to ask her out for Monday night but she's either not picked up and or hasn't returned my call, which is odd because I've asked her out for another day and she said yes. She may just have been trying to get me off her back, I don't know.

I'm going to try calling her tomorrow to see if she'll answer. I mean, I need to know, MONDAY is the next day

i can generalize the guys I know, then I can speak for myself. in general, they guys I know only call girls that late when they are attempting to have sex with her or dirty talking. i, on the other hand, will call a girl late at night just to have a nice conversation about anything.

it really all depends but most often than not if a guy calls consistently or primarily late at night it's a booty call.

After 10 pm is the general cut-off time; so if it's after that then he's trying to get some sex
