If you have a flat ass and someone says so, it's not rude. If you are fat and someone says to lay off Twinkies (praise the lord baby jesus they are back!) it's not rude. If you want to build confidence in yourself then work out! If you need motivation, download an app there are plenty of them, my favorite is the 7minute workout and I do it twice a day or go to the gym with a lady friend. It's the summer coming up why not make a goal to get fit?

1 simple exercise will do the job. SQUATS! normal squats, front squats, you choose. Deadlifts can help too, normal deadlifts, sumo deadlifts, also stiff legged deadlifts (works your hamstrings too). Search these exercises on google or YouTube and you'll learn how to do them :)
Squats, squats and more squats. Lunges and squats are the best way to go. I won't say that you will have a fitness model's butt but it will improve greatly.
Jessica Simpson said that her personal trainer had her do at least a hundred squats and lunges daily to make her butt bigger and shaplier for the Dukes of Hazard movie because she tends to be on the smaller and flatter side too.
Running, lifting and squats.
If you don't like running, you can do the elliptical machine and if you put the cross ramp to a certain height it focuses more on your glutes.

I read in Girls Life magazine when I was little to try this:
when you walk to & from class, clench your buttcheeks together (not too tight) while you walk. That will tone your glutes, making it plumper.Capncool basically said it. Walk up stairs as well and on the treadmill raise the incline as if you are walking up hill. Raise that super high and WALK!
Who cares about a persons ass? it is what is between your legs the guys want...
A healthy lifestyle would be the best approach imo: lighting weights and eating well.
Squats, running, deadlifts, lunges, any form of leg exercise will help.
Believe it or not but swinging in a swing for a few hours a day will work
