If you HAD to have a disability, which would you choose?

Question

So, I came across a person who had lost their vision gradually over the years since they were 12. Just wanna know which disability people would rather have and also, would you rather be born with it or gradually/instantly lose it part way through your life?
I know in reality NO ONE 'wants' to have a disability, but if were to happen, which would you have? :)
Examples - blind, deaf, dyslexic etc. I'd especially like to know which you'd choose between blind and deaf.

between blind and deaf , If I had to pick I'd rather be deaf the world looks like a much better place if you don't have to hear some of the people in IMHO

NO ONE WANTS a disability , but I have to say sometime I think your examples of blind or deaf or any less painful issues would be preferable to constant pain even when medicated But they all have there own unique issues and that person just has to learn how to do things differently but the absolute hardest thing sometime is if people can see it they treat you differently even if they mean well

Well obviously form the options you gave me dyslexic and I would rather get it later through life and I would rather be deaf if I had to chose cause you could still communicate with people even if you go deaf you could just write to them or use some time of computer where you type and the computer speaks for you kind of like what Stephan Hawkings use or I kknow they have this much less expensive gadget they use which do the same thing for people with Lou Gehrigs disease. Who also eventually lose the ability to talk.

I was born with a rare disability that effects all of the joints in my body, it also makes me prone to brain tumors and it causes hearing loss

I think it's easier to be born with a disability rather than later of becoming disabled, because when you're born with it, you learn how to accept it and deal with it from an early age, and it's just part of who you are.

Deaf, I could manage well if I learned to lip read and sign plus it would be a new experience to go to concerts and stuff and feel the vibrations of the music and the crowd.

I would hate to be blind, I'd lose a lot of my independence and I'd never see anything beautiful again or get to experience films/tv shows/seeing my friends and family

Sound or vision...
That's very difficult.
You'll miss seeing people and their ugly faces, but you'll miss that. Haha. You'll miss seeing a guy's smile or hot body.
Sound... you'll miss hearing birds or music, or a hot guy's deep voice...
...Suicide.

I've had a visual processing disorder since third grade, so I've dealt with an LD almost my whole life. It doesn't effect me now though.
But out of deaf or blind, I'd choose deaf because I'm minoring in sign language and already know the language :)

As it happens I am dyslexic, it's really not a massive problem in my life - I just need to re-read everything I write a few times!

A better question is what would I hate to have? I'd hate to loose my sight.

If I absolutely had to have a disability and could choose any of them, I would pick torrets syndrome, the swearing version.

Out of blindness and deafness, I'd take deafness. Then i wouldn't have to listen to screaming children.

Well, I got problems with walking, so guess that kinda counts as a disablity. Would rather get it later :) Blind vs deaf, I'd go for blind, I'm a singer, so being deaf would be worse for me.

if i had to choose, id pick deafness... i have a few deaf friends and already know ASL so im set lol. id choose to gradually lose it over time.
