Now I want to start going gym and thinking of build some muscles and lose fat together. Is it possible?
If I try hard can I reach an ideal shape in the next 6 months?
Most the studies I've read have found that losing weight while gaining muscle is pretty much outside the realm of reality. You can lose weight while APPEARING to have made significant muscle gains. That's the method most celebrities take when preparing for certain roles that require that specific look. Basically you focus on specific visually appealing muscles while overall losing weight. You still lose muscle mass overall and you aren't gaining much in the way of functional muscle, but it will create the look like you "gained muscle" while losing weight.
Like I said, most studies I've read have found that following a good weight loss program while working out doesn't lead to muscle gains but it does SIGNIFICANTLY reduce muscle loss during the weight loss period.
If it helps me to lose fat then I can go for building muscles later.
Do some weight training to maintain/minimize muscle loss while losing weight. Fat loss is for the most part diet. You can be strong and look absolutely ripped or you can be strong and look like a fat slob, that's all about diet.
If your core goal is to lose weight, diet is the highest priority. If your core goal is to be an athlete, cardiovascular conditioning should be your primary goal. If you core goal is strength, then your goal goal should be hitting the weight room. Secondary goals depend on what exactly you're trying to do but the above applies generally speaking.
Most athletes primary concern is ability, so as long as they are performing at their peak they don't really put a high priority on what they look like. A strength trainer (say somebody training for the strongman competition) has a primary concern on pure power, so obviously they don't mind if they are putting on extra weight if it means they are also able to perform to a higher degree. If getting ripped is
your primary concern, then looks are a top concern. That look is achieved primary through dieting. Most of the guys I know who got that look all say the same thing "This is like 80% diet" or "Diet was the biggest part to getting this look". Sure they work out, obviously. But their core emphasis is diet because that's the ONLY way you get that look.
They also work out very specific muscles. They focus a ton of muscles that give a specific visual appearance. Certain workouts might be great for practical purposes, but they might not do much to make you LOOK much better, in which case there's little reason to engage in it. By focusing on just the muscles that give that visual appearance, you allow your body to focus it's recuperating times on those muscles. Doing too much at once isn't really beneficial to building those muscles most efficiently.
Yes, but it ain't easy to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Muscles like having a lot of energy on tap, and losing fat means cutting a lot of the quick-burning energy the muscles like to use.
I would first gain a slight bit a bulk. Then once you are happy with that, keep your muscles doing something, and focus on losing fat. The nice thing is that larger muscles burn more idle calories.
Once your body fat drops really low, you'll start seeing more of the muscular ripples. So you'll be toned, but not big.
I was over weight and tried so many things. Different things work for different people and I was lucky enough to find one that worked for me. I lost 18 pounds in one month without much exercise and it's been a life changer. I'm a little embarrased to post my before and after photos here but if anyone actually cares to hear what I've been doing then I'd be happy to help in any way. Just shoot me an email at secretosdelara@gmail.com and I'll show you my before and after photos, and tell you about how things are going for me with the stuff I've tried. I wish someone would have helped me out when I was struggling to find a solution so if I can help you then it would make my day
You will loose fat , but your weight may go up, muscle is heavier than fat. I went from 106lbs to 123 and I never had to buy new clothes or anything. My muscle is my weight. I got tighter so I actually looked thinner than I did at 106. But I'm old as dirt so I almost exclusively do weights now.
I want to look thinner too right now I look bulky.
Insaan, you are either ignorant of how much these things weigh or you are being pedantic to an idiotic extreme. When someone says that muscle is heavier than fat, they are obviously not claiming that one pound of muscle weighs more than one pound of fat. Rather, they are saying that muscle has a greater density than fat and therefore muscle weighs more BY VOLUME than fat. People omit "by volume" because there is no reason not to omit it, other than appeasing people who want to be pedantic to an idiotic extreme.

Someone already said it, but ill just restate it.
To answer your question, no, it is not possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time (an exception would be if you were on anabolics and a bunch of other PEDs). Building muscle requires a SURPLUS of calories, losing fat requires a DEFICIT of calories.
You also need to emphasize what you are trying to lose, weight and fat are NOT the same thing. Your weight can fluctuate daily, but that does not mean you have burned off any fat as energy. You need to emphasize losing fat.
It sounds like you don't want big muscles any way, so id just stick to the cardio and lose all that weight. You need to be dieting in some way also.
Only if you have an excess amount of fat. You can build muscle slowly where it doesn't make much of a difference in your weight and burn off fat. I went from 200 lbs (90.7 kg) and not working out to 180 lbs (81.6 kg) with doing hardcore lifting. I did some cardio here and there, but was focused more on building muscle because strength training is the quickest way to burn fat. I slimmed down, build muscle, got stronger, and got thinner. I'm about 5'8, 5'9... (173 cm)
Good to hear it from someone who has excess experience.
Yeah, and to the people that say you can't... It is possible to gain muscle and lose weight. Building muscle requires protein... not a surplus of calories. If you eat too much calories you will gain weight and if you eat too little you won't be able to build lean muscle.
So, step 1. Eat more protein. Lean beef, chicken, fish, eggs and beans.
Step 2. Limit your carbs. Not all carbs are bad. Carbs fuel the body for a workout and they help absorb the protein. Eat things such as whole grains and oatmeal.
Step 3. Balance your calories. To lose weight while building muscle you should consume 10-15 times your body weight. (using the pound system) So, 200 lbs, consume 2,000-3,000 calories a day. And as you lose weight, lower the amount of calories you take in. This can be a trial and error. 2500 might be what you need, but it also might be too much and 2100 is all you need.
Step 4. no processed foods
5. Cardio. Ride a bike 30 minutes a day
6. strength training.
it is possible to lose fat and gain lean muscle. If you lose weight but not lift weight you will look like the guy on the right. www.leighpeele.com/.../...y-fat-male-pictures1.jpg
Yes, its possible. when you join the gym, do cardio before and after your workout. It won't seem like you're losing weight, because you're gaining muscle, but you're losing the fat.
Thank you as you said I'll do cardio after and before workout.
Yes. Burning fat and gaining muscle is generally how it goes.
You can reach your first plateau in 3 mos. time so you should definitely be fine after 6 mos. of consistency.
See results is 3 months would be a huge motivate for me.
You will see results in two months with consistency. You will see great results in 4 months with consistency at medium pace.
Nice to hear it.
yes, if you're on steroids. otherwise, no chance. it takes calories to build muscle and reduced calories to lose fat.
Don't want to use supplements.
steroids are a drug, not a supplement but ok.
So that make them worst !
I always wanted to know that!
