There are several factors involved. First, woman have a vagina and uterus which compete for the same space as the bladder. Men don't have this problem. Next, women can experience damage to the pelvic floor during childbirth which can lead to a reduced ability to hold it. They can also experience damage to their sphincter muscles during child birth. Third, guys have a longer urethra than females because we have a prostate which also happens to place our internal and external urethral sphincters further apart from each other than the two muscles in women. This can result in less stress on the external urethral sphincter in men do to the little stop gap (safety net) where the urethra runs through the prostate.
I'm not sure that they can't so much as won't, because holding it makes them more prone to UTI's.

Look at a woman's anatomy. the bladder and uterus are in close proximity. When the bladder is full, it presses on the uterus creating an uncomfortable feeling. Men don't have this anatomical disadvantage.
Doesn't mean all women have to pee frequently. I rarely go to the bathroom during my 8-hour shift.
Um I don't know what you're talking about in my experience it's dudes who always have to piss all over the damn place. I can hold my pee for a long ass time. I once sat through a 12 hr flight without peeing even though I really really had to because I'm afraid of tight spaces.
We have smaller bladders, that's why we need to go more often. Ultimately though how much you pee depends on how many liquids you get, so if you pee a lot, it's a good thing

I've held it for three days before. I hold it whenever I'm out. I hate public restrooms lol. I can always hold it a few extra hours to get home.
I could hold it but there's no reason to :P pop a squat if you're desperate. It can't be good to constantly hold it that long
