+1 yI like to eat. I mean I /really/ like to eat. There is also no such thing as a bad food, except for vegetable shortening. It's evil, tasteless, and does a number on your arteries. It's all about moderation and balance. If you take in positive calories to your bmr you will gain weight. If you take in less you'll lose weight.
Crisco is evil because it's hydrogenated. Hydrogenation just adds a hydrogen to the molecule. It sounds harmless enough but the reaction it has with your body raises ldl or in other words bad cholesterol. It also make for terrible butter cream frosting that you buy in the store.00 Reply

+1 yEat healthy, look healthy, be healthy :p not anorexic though. Those stupid Photoshop models should go die in a hole for what they've done to society.

I wouldn't say it's their fault. Sure, it's pretty much ruined society but they're doing what they love and paying they're bills doing it so. But people read into that and it's US that ruined society, not them.
According to the WHO obesity kills over 3.4 million people a year, and you can't really be happy if you're dying of a stroke or heart disease or your type 2 diabetes has just caused you to go blind or have your leg amputated. I am happier being healthier and more fit.
When you're younger you can still abuse your body a bit but when you start hitting your 30s or so it catches up to you.00 Reply
Are you asking this because you feel you need a diet or asking this as a general question? I ask because if this has to do with your personal appearance I plan to answer one way and if it is a general question another entirely.

You look like a very petite girl as one can tell a lot about the physique of someone by simply viewing their facial features and paying close attention to specific areas of it. I bring this up because you can't be more than 5'5 - 110. In fact, you look like a 5'4 - 100-105 type girl to me.
I wouldn't worry about it honey. What area of yourself are you targeting for weight loss because given your facial structure and fat content on your face which is next to nothing, I don't see you being fat in the least.

I got bad acne in 5th grade and by 7th grade I didn't eat soda, pizza, meat, cheese, juice, ice cream, candy, white rice, white carbs, fast food, dessert that weren't fruit, and a while bunch other stuff to loose weight and keep clear skin. I was honestly to much of a scaredy cat to stop eating because I new of the side effects due to a friend. But my diet is still really restrictive and my acne is still here so I won't be changing that anytime soon. But I also don't eat that much food anyway now thy I think about it... Any who I've always known that I'd rather look good than be happy. Like that's really sad but I have super low self esteem and looking good is important to me because I've never been the prettiest of my friends. But I'm definitely the hardest worker for beauty

+1 yI already eat healthy AND what I like
... i barely exercise at all though. Once I do, I'll drop the 5 or so pounds i need to reach my ideal weight (130 lbs)
... though once I'm there I'll still need to drop an inch or 2 from my waistline... i think i'm at a size 8 now and i wanna get back down to a six, like i was last year.
After all that, I'll hate my body, still, and nothing in stores will fit, still... but i'll be able to wear what's in my closet without feeling embarrassed when i look in the mirror, hehe :)00 Reply
+1 yPeople are different. Some can get away with eating foods that may make other people fat. Some peoples bodys are naturally muscular and toned. They dont need to work out but look like they do. Other people go to the gym 3-4 times a week and they barely notice a difference in their body shape. Everyone has to deal with the hand they are dealt. Some have to work hard others dont.

+1 yI'm a bit of a yo-yo. I like stuffing my face with the dumbest things, but I really like the discipline of the diet side. I'll still eat a lot it'll just contain less fat and carbs and more protein.
Thats a weird thing too, when you start to really cut out fat and you get very used to meals you're having, it can get to a point where there's just too little fat in your daily intake. At one point I was just slapping butter on bread so I'd get fat into my system. Those were the skinny days :D10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yEat to reach your goals, but enjoy the food you eat too. Society has gotten kind of stupid in this regard where most people think that diets are this horrible, awful thing that requires tons of discipline.
It comes mainly from people not willing to do actual research on how to diet and how to compile a book of "approved meals" that they would still enjoy.
So in short, ignorance as usual lol10 Reply
+1 yFat and happy, though I wouldn't want to turn into a whale. Still, weight conscious food is tasting better than ever.
10 ReplyI feel like this doesn't effect men as much. I'm a defensive linemen for my college, and to be honest I'm a bit UNDER weight. So, I eat as much as I wish. As long as I'm conditioned, I don't care what my weight is.
10 ReplyWell I wouldn't exactly be on a diet because I don't really need one. But i'm sixteen and very self conscious of my body, so yeah sometimes I try to eat healthier and just stop eating junk food and drinking soda for a while. It actually works.

+1 yHealth at any size is what matters. There are different body types, and some of them are going to be what our society would consider "fat" even when they're perfectly healthy. So I listen to my body and eat what makes it happy.

+1 yYes, I am on a diet... to put on weight.
I have to be careful what I eat though, because my digestive system is a bit too choosy and doesn't react well with whatever that goes in...00 Reply2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Dieting is in fact quite unhealthy it deprives your body of nutrients. Simple eat right and exsersies and you'll be fine.
