How long will it take to get physically fit for the Royal Air Force?

just wondering how long It will take to get physically fit for the Royal Air Force and how fit you need to be. If anyone has taken the entry test it would be great to know how hard it is and what you do and how physically fit you were even if you passed or failed. Thanks

Yes, maths is very important when it comes to flying, cause you are constantly making mid-air calculations.

Probably not long, most people would be already physically fit enough for the chair force especially if their anything like the US chair force.

are u stupid its gonna take a while they dont hire average people u have to be above average by a lot to be in the army

I think i know what it takes physically little boy that probably hasn't even left his home town without his parents. I served 4 years active as a US Marine. In the air force you don't even have to be fit period, i know this for a fact. i apologize for bursting your bubble but let a big boy who knows what he's talking about handle this.

thank you guys for helping me, I live in Britain so I don't know if it is the same as a US marine but I have heard for the Royal Air Force that you have to run 1 mile in under 5 minutes I think.

Don't worry about it, the air force is strictly a job related branch. Now there are some physical requirements and rightfully so. I am pretty sure they don't want a bunch of people who are tearing out of their uniform seams.

Air force isn't the marines. Just work out regularly and be able to lift about 30ib or below and you will be fine. Air force is more academics than strength.
