If you want to lose weight and tone up, cut something out of your diet for a while, like sugary soft drinks, do cardiovascular exercise like swimming, running or trampolining and do simple exercises like sit ups.
A good way to tone your lower abs is to do push ups against the wall and lie on your back in front of a chair and do butt lifts.

Yes, very much so. not just rugby though, I'm butt hurt about other sports too, like Australia couldn't even beat United Arab Emirates at soccer, and my AFL team lost the grand final by a huge goal margin and my rugby league team didn't even make the finals and I hate cricket and the cricket season has started! Those exercise tips should help you though.
