I'm going to assume you're no longer in school as most high schools, universities have a free gym for students. If you're not and want to gain muscle mass not lose weight, I think its gunna be hard without going to a gym if you don't have equipment.
Two suggestions though: 1) You could look for a new job that essentially is a "work-out" (think construction, or manual labour), or 2) Most gyms give out free "take-a-friend" passes to gym members to try and recruit new people. From what I've seen it is quite possible to exploit this system if your friend plays it right bringing you along for free multiple times.

Simple, run and pressups, do 100 press ups through out the day , then 150, the. 200. Then once you can afford it go to the gym.
Its actually quite easy to do workouts at home without equipment if you can't access a gym just yet. You could even improvise by using stuff that is around your house as your weights 😀
I've said this before..
Step 1: Put down the dorritos
Step 2: Go outside
You don't need $ to jog in the street.
